MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the following year. Later, in 2021, the singer sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. While his initial career goal was to be an animal veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to start learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
